be on sale in the ASB office beginning 5/12/25. All fines & fees must be paid in
order to attend.
Senior Check Out:
You will be given a checkout slip on June 5th. This slip must be completed prior to
graduation rehearsal on 6/6. The last full day of classes for seniors is Thursday,
6/5/25. On this day, you will have a final opportunity to turn in materials and pay
any outstanding fines/fees. This checkout slip is your TICKET into Senior Breakfast
and Graduation practice on 6/6/24. Do NOT lose it.
Senior Breakfast & Graduation Rehearsal
The senior breakfast and graduation rehearsal are Friday, June 6th, beginning
with a check in at 8am. A special breakfast will be served in the Commons to
celebrate all seniors. You must present your completed checkout slip to your
counselor in order to attend.
Immediately following breakfast, we will report to the gym for graduation
rehearsal. You will fill out your “name calling” card with pronunciation, connect
with walking partners, select rows, run through the commencement ceremony,
and Mrs. Gilbert will review ceremony expectations.
You must attend rehearsal in order to participate in the graduation ceremony!
Rehearsal usually last until about 10:45am-11:00am; early releases will not be
permitted. Please keep in mind: we will continue to practice until it is evident that
we ALL understand what will happen at the Dome. Honor cords and tickets will be
distributed at the end of rehearsal via your counselor. Following cord/ticket
distribution, seniors are dismissed out of the gym from school (for the final time)
and MUST LEAVE campus through the outside gym doors. No re-entry during the
school day is allowed.
Grad Walks:
On 6/6 seniors have the opportunity to visit a feeder elementary school and walk
through their halls one last time in their cap and gown. Elementary students will
be excited to see our graduates: cheering them on, giving high fives and idolizing
them. All coordination is done via the elementary schools. Transportation is not
provided. If you decide to attend, please note: these elementary students are
counting on you!
Graduation Information
Graduation: June 9th, 2025
At the Tacoma Dome
2:00 PM (arrive by 1:15pm)
Graduation Protocol:
Graduation is a formal event, not a celebration. Just as weddings or religious
ceremonies can be formal, so is graduation. Please remember people have
traveled from all over the state and sometimes, country, to watch
commencement and hear their student’s name announced. To make this special
for all students, the tone of the ceremony will be one of dignity and respect. It is
imperative that there are no disruptions or loud noises during the ceremony.
As we approach the graduation ceremony, we would like to provide you with
some important reminders. We hope these reminders assist you in preparing for
the momentous occasion.
1. Graduate & Faculty Entry Doors: Lower NW entry doors
2. Public Entry Doors: Upper NW & Upper SW doors
3. Guests with disabilities: May enter the Lower NW doors in addition to the
Upper entries.
4. Searches & Clear Bag Policy: Since February 2016, the Tacoma Dome has
implemented metal detection at the entry doors. To further expedite the entry
process and to reduce touch points between staff and guests we have
instituted a clear bag policy much like the other large facilities in the region.
Bags may only be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC sized 12”x6”x12” or smaller. Small
no-clear, clutch purses are okay if sized 4.5”x6.5” or smaller. This will be in
effect for the attendees, faculty AND graduates. More information on the clear
bag policy can be found here.
5. Security screenings: **All of our graduates, staff, and guests will go through
magnetometer security screening in pre-event communication. When
possible, graduates, staff, and guests should bring only necessary personal
items with them to expedite the entry process for everyone. The main items
we are screening for are weapons of any kind which include knives of ANY
SIZE.
6. Ticketing Information: Graduation is a ticketed event. Each senior will receive
five tickets for graduation. Moreover, seniors can obtain an additional five
tickets by completing their tickets at your school for $5 each (starting 5/28/24
via ASB). Kindly note that every guest, including children, must possess a
ticket. You must pre-purchase your extra tickets. Tickets will not be available
at the Dome.
7. Prohibited Items: In addition to items like weapons, the following are also
banned from inside the event > balloons, silly string, large signs, beach balls,
air horns, etc.
Dress Code for Graduates:
To participate in the ceremony, all students must have a cap, gown and sash.
Caps and gowns:
Gowns arrive folded and wrinkled. Prior to the graduation ceremony,
get them out, hang them up, and iron or steam the gown on a low heat
setting.
Both caps and gowns must be free from decorations of any kind (no
flowers, signs, leis, etc).
Business casual/dress clothes are expected under gowns.
Clean, sensible shoes (good for walking up and down stairs) are required.
If you have any doubts as to whether what you want to wear to graduation
is appropriate, please work with Mrs. Fritz.
Any student dressed inappropriately as deemed by administration will
not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.
Photographs: Pictures will be taken of graduates. You can purchase photos online
three business days after the picture date. There are a variety of packages and
special items you may order. Ordering information will be included with your
diploma upon pick up. Spectators are NOT allowed on the floor to take
photographs during the ceremony.
Parking: There is no cost to park at the Tacoma Dome for this event as the school
district rents the lots out for us.
Diploma Pick-up: Please note that your diploma cover given during the
graduation ceremony has nothing in it. You may pick up your diploma on Tuesday,
June 10th, between 8:00am and 10:00am via the Athletic events entrance. After
June 10th you will need to arrange with the Registrar’s office (253=800-6184) to
pick it up.
