Academics

ACADEMICS

Academics is a team that studies in many different subjects in preparation for a test at the drill meets. These subjects include general subjects such as math, English and sciences including physics and chemistry. They also do studies that include but aren’t limited to: Geography, history (Such as wars, WWII, Vietnam, Civil War), current (social) events, and pop culture. The team is a great community that works together to ensure that everyone feels prepared and has fun.

JLAB

The JROTC Leadership and Academic Bowl (JLAB) contains two different sections, a team that tests on leadership and two teams that test on academics. The leadership team tests on their knowledge of the JROTC curriculum and can only include a single team of four sophomores or juniors with two alternates. The academics teams, on the other hand, are tested on their knowledge of general subjects such as vocabulary,
mathematics, and science. They are also made up of four members with two alternates but are able to have freshmen on the team as well. The goal of JLAB is to prepare cadets to be ready for high school graduation and ultimately college admissions.
